About CCDLA
Learn more about CCDLA’s history, mission, and leadership.
CCDLA History
The Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (CCDLA) is an organization of approximately three hundred lawyers who are dedicated to defending persons accused of criminal and motor vehicle offenses. Founded in 1988, CCDLA is the only statewide criminal defense lawyer’s organization in Connecticut. Our membership is from both the public and private sectors of the criminal defense bar. Our active listserv encourages free communication between lawyers and the sharing of resources, pleadings, and research amongst legal professionals, all within the confines of our strict adherence to client confidentiality issues. The CCDLA is a well-respected voice in the Connecticut state legislature, submitting testimony annually on bills important to the criminal defense community and offering input on the confirmation process for judges. We are a not-for-profit organization that retains complete independence from outside funding sources by being supported solely by our members.
CCDLA Executive Board
Our Executive Board serves for a term of two years in each role. They are dedicated legal professionals that give up their personal time for the betterment of the organization. We are honored by their service.
